Public transport to Tokaj directly from the airport

From the AIrport to Ferihegy train station
Take the 
bus 200E at the Liszt Ferenc Airport, get off at the 4th stop, which is Ferihegy vasútállomás (Ferihegy train station). You can buy a ticket costing HUF 350 at a newspaper stand or from a machine. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes including the short walks to and from the bus stops. Click here for route plan.

Trains from Ferihegy to Tokaj
From Ferihegy train station there are IC (intercity) trains going directly to Tokaj every 2 hours. There are no direct trains, however look for the trains that have only 1 change (it will be either at Nyíregyháza or Keleti). These trains leave at 7:43, 8:43 and so on.

Ticket price
Your one-way ticket to Tokaj will cost around HUF 5300 (including the surcharges as well). Intercity trains are comfortable, air-conditioned, and second class is fine.
Please note: If you have a Student Identity Card issued in the European Union containing your photo and stating the name of your school, you are eligible for a 50% discount from the base price, and you can buy a student ticket costing about HUF 3000 (including the surcharges as well).

How to buy train tickets
It is easiest to buy online. If you prefer you can also buy it at Ferihegy train station from the cashier or from a vending machine.

From Tokaj train station to CSI Main Building
From the Tokaj train station it will take a 10-minute walk to get to the main building of Crescendo Summer Institute (i.e. the Tokaji Ferenc Secondary School).
